Tapestry Beauty Bead by Bead Workshop

from $65.00

Have you ever wanted to learn a technique that will enhance your creativity? This bead class will show you how to create your piece(s) of art with a peyote stitch using a needle and thread to stitch your beads together. Once learning this technique, you can apply it in different ways which will be discussed in this class.

The first 1 ½ hours will work with size 8/0 delica beads to allow you to adjust to the stitch and handling of the beads. In addition, you will create a freehand design with the larger beads. After an hour break at noon, we will continue creating a piece of bead art from a pre-created pattern using 11/0 delica beads. At the end of this workshop, you can create your bead pieces.

All materials are provided. Students are encouraged to bring reading or magnifying glasses.

Date & Time: Saturday, May 3rd, 2025 | 10:30 AM - 2:30 PM

Guest Instructor: Corinne McAuley

After Corinne McAuley had worked in the high-tech industry for many years she started looking for a calming, creative outlet. She tried many different mediums but found nothing that stuck until a visit to a bead shop with a friend one day. She had never seen such a diverse selection of shapes, sizes, and colors of beads. From there she learned how to work with beads in her unique way. Her creations include masks, intricate tactile works that reflect nature, as well as figures, and even abstract shapes and designs. McAuley continually looks for new and interesting ways to use this medium and express herself with beads. “I feel that I have not touched the surface of possibilities...”
