Pottery Independent Study
Independent Study gives adult students with advanced clay skills access to the Art Museum Pottery Studio twice a week. Students work independently, pursuing clay as an art form in the production of both functional and nonfunctional pieces. Although designed as a self-directed session, instructors are available in the studio to help from 6 - 9 PM on both evenings or by prior arrangement. Adults 18 years and older.
PREREQUISITE: Students must have taken pottery classes at the museum and acquire permission from the Pottery Studio Coordinator Natalie Powell. Please email her at justnatalie@icloud.com. Students must sign the Independent Study Guidelines and Contract and abide by all of the rules.
Cost includes shelf rental, access to tools, and use of equipment for 1 month. The fee does not include clay. Clay can be purchased through the Art Museum here: https://www.artlafayette.org/classes/p/clay
