Watercolor Artist Trading Cards
Students will learn about the foundations of art while making fun Artist Trading Cards, an art project originally started in 1997 that's been growing strong ever since. Students are encouraged to trade the cards with the other students or consider starting a mail art group. Supplies are included in the workshop price; students should bring a pen for writing. Trading Card size - 2.5 x 3.5 inch. Participants will make at least 10-20 trading cards. Students will get to decide which ones they want to make from the list and random prompts.
We will be covering elements, principles, and color themes by creating artist trading cards
Elements: Line, Shape, Value, Color, Space, Texture, Form
Color Themes: Analogous, Complementary, Triad, Tetradic, Warms/Cools
Principles: Pattern/Rhythm, Repetition, Emphasis, Scale
Prerequisite - Intro to Watercolor is required and students must bring the watercolor kit supplied in the prereq class.
Age Range: 6-years-old and up
