Porcelain Painting of Grapes
Learn the art of porcelain painting and create an heirloom piece. Paint the fruit of the vine on porcelain, gorgeous grapes in rich colors of violet and ruby, inspired by the famous porcelain painter, Franz Bischoff in 1905. During the three sessions, students will learn to grind paint, the basic painting strokes, and techniques of painting on porcelain that will be kiln-fired following each class. All supplies are provided.

As a teacher, this class brings me full circle. I first learned porcelain painting from Doris Richeson at Jenks Rest, Columbian Park in the 1970s. Doris’ family generously donated her supplies to the Art Museum, and we get to be a part of her legacy! If your heart skips a beat, as mine did all those years ago when I heard about Doris’ class, follow your heart and begin this adventure! Baby steps will lead you to your own heirloom pieces.
