Stop 1 — West Lafayette City Hall

“Ascending”

“I retired from teaching art in the Bartholomew County Public Schools in 2010. There are so many possibilities. The first thing I did was procure lots of mixed clay. I started three public-scale sculptures, all over 11 feet 6 inches tall. This is one of the three. "Ascending" starts narrow, swells into a series of rounded forms, narrows again, and swells into three forms at the top, creating a strong upward visual movement.” —Robert Pulley, Artist

Next Stop: Brown Street Overlook (.64 miles)
Descend the hill toward the river to discover stop two at the Brown Street Overlook. Here, against the scenic backdrop of the Wabash River, you'll find "Cascade," a captivating piece that adds to the charm of the Wabash Heritage Trail.
