Surrealist Costume Ball

the madness begins at 7:47 PM on TBD

Location TBD

Come in costume and character for a Surreal night of your daydreams. Ballers will also compete in various party games and challenges for the opportunity to win an original Salvador Dali print from the recent Divine Comedy series exhibition at the art museum! Best costume will also win a Dali!

André Breton, who published The Surrealist Manifesto in 1924, wrote that Surrealism was a means of reuniting conscious and unconscious realms of experience so completely that the world of dream and fantasy would be joined to the everyday rational world in “an absolute reality, a surreality.”

Join the Art Museum of Greater Lafayette on Saturday, June 8th for a madhatter-induced evening of merrymaking including food, drinks, dancing, prancing, and plenty of photo opportunities. Featured activities and experiences will only add to the vibe as you become the main character in an evening so absurd Ludacris will have to change his name.

Color samples for the evening and outfit ideas are included in the photos (costume images source: https://therake.com/stories/party-animals-the-rothschild-surrealist-ball). You may also enhance your fit by seeking sage wisdom from one of our design divas or costume consultants.
