Collage Your Feelings: Making Change

from $20.00

Collage Your Feelings is a series of classes where you can cut and paste pictures together to create a picture that is a visual tool for self-expression. Creating your picture can help you build self-awareness and engage in self-reflection, discover coping mechanisms, and problem-solve. Engaging in these classes may help with improving your mood, feeling physically better, and building your self-confidence. Enjoy meeting new people, relax and unwind, and leave with renewed energy. Most of all, have fun! Age 14+.

Each class will begin with a brief meditation and then give directives to get started. There is no right or wrong way to collage and you may feel free to take liberties with your work and create what feels right in the moment. Take home your art as a visual reminder of what you learned. All materials are provided and you may bring any images that feel relevant in case you would like to include them in your picture.

Instructor: Dawn Dilley

Location: Studio A

Instructor Biography:

Dawn Dilley is an artist who lives in West Lafayette and has a private practice where she provides individual and group psychotherapy. She aims to make healing more accessible since engaging in therapy can be expensive. She also works to decrease the stigma of psychotherapy and poor mental health. These workshops are not intended to be psychotherapy and Dawn is not acting as a therapist during these sessions. These classes are not a replacement for professional treatment for mental health.

This class is part of an 8-session series! Come to one or come to all of them. Each workshop builds on the previous one, and if you attend them all, you will have the opportunity to explore a full array of healing. It is perfectly fine to attend just one of the workshops, too, they are meant to stand alone. Check the sessions out here:
